LEGAL REDRESS INTAKE

Request to Investigate a Civil Rights or Social Justice Violation

Thank you for contacting the NAACP Calvert County Branch. This intake form is the first step in asking the Branch to review allegations of a civil rights or social justice violation within Calvert County, Maryland. Information submitted will be reviewed by authorized Branch representatives, including the Legal Redress Committee, to determine whether and how the Branch may be able to assist.

Important: Submitting this form does not create an attorney-client relationship or any other contract. It is not legal advice or legal representation. It does not file a complaint, charge, appeal, grievance, or lawsuit with any court, employer, union, or government agency, and it does not pause or extend any filing deadline. You remain responsible for protecting your rights and meeting all applicable deadlines.

The person submitting this form must be at least 18 years old. A parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult should submit on behalf of anyone age 17 or younger. Information will be handled as confidentially as reasonably possible, but it may be shared with authorized NAACP representatives as needed to review the request. Do not submit original documents.

Every request will receive careful consideration; however, submission does not guarantee that the Branch will investigate, mediate, provide a referral, or otherwise become involved. Decisions depend on the facts, scope, jurisdiction, available resources, and alignment with the NAACP mission. Please allow at least two weeks for an initial response
